That problem could be solved by lagging (insulating) the pipeline that carries the superheated steam generated in the boiler to the dryer. Could you tell why. Don't think too much. Practical problem always have very simple solutions. Remember that.

Sandun, Please check chapter 11 of my book to find out the difference between quasistatic and reversible, and chapter 13 for Carnot cycle and and an introduction to second law. Once you have done that let me know. I will then direct you to other text books.

Madam, I had seen your book that published in internet before come to class. that was very useful to selfstudy. I though that i can not get good knowledge about some section. could we use pdv for steam because when we compress steam(even super heated steam) it may sometimes condense.?

Are you asking if we could use pdv to calculate work? If that is the question then the answer is yes. The only problem is to integrate pdv you need to know how p changes with v during the process. if condensation occurs then the p vs v relationship gets complicated.
